Publisher review:Nilrep's Charting Challenge will select a random asset, a random time period and plot the combination between both in the application window. For those not familiarized with financial concepts, charting is a part of technical analysis that tries to forecast short term market behavior based on chart patterns. The idea of this game is quite simple. Based on a REAL database of the Brazilian Equity Market, the GUI will select a random asset, a random time period and plot the combination between both in the application window. The purpose of the game is that you must then select, based on the candles and technicall charts, which operation to perform. It's also possible to chose how many days to maintain such position. There are two operations, go long, expecting a increase in price or go short, expecting a decrease. It's also possible to pass a chart if you think that no pattern whatsoever exists. The game instantly shows the score, including the accumulated money and raw profits from the last trade.Since the function uses random selections, one game is never equal to another, keeping things interesting and avoiding cheating.Just type spg3 at the Matlab command window to start the Nilrep's CHARTING CHALLENGE!!!In the future I'm planning to increase the database for all main equity markets and deploy such application into the internet with a lot of mechanisms for samples control. The purpose of that will be writing a research paper based on it, regarding human ability of forecasting short term market behavior based on charting. Requirements: · MATLAB Release: R14SP1 · Financial Toolbox
